What Do Cloud Accounting, An Expedition Across Antarctica And A Vodka Slide Have In Common?

On the 9th and 10th February, the ChadSan team grabbed coffee and their smartphones and set on their way to Battersea Park for Xerocon 2016!

We couldn’t wait to get to the event to experience and learn about the latest developments Xero have been working on for the past year and get inspired with new cloud based technology we could inform our clients about. There is also an element of fun to the event with the Xero awards ceremony in the evening at the event after party, with an amazing vodka slide and delicious canapés!

The event was hosted by the hilarious and savvy Fred MacAulay, with a line-up of incredibly inspiring speakers such as Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE, the world’s greatest living explorer, who talked about overcoming conditions unbearable to most during his travels. Jonathan MacDonald, the founder of Thought Expansion Network, discussed embracing change through forward thinking and capitalising on the opportunities ahead and the funny, yet thought provoking Dave Coplin, Chief Envisioning Officer at Microsoft, who spoke about reinventing productivity and working smarter through the use of technology.

We heard from the very enthusiastic Xero executive team; Rod Drury – CEO and Co-Founder, Andy Lark – Chief Marketing and Business Officer, Gary Turner – Managing Director UK and Angus Norton – Chief Product Officer, who all spoke passionately about the ways that Xero can help small businesses become more streamlined when it comes to sharing financial information with their accountants, using cloud based technology, new Xero banking partnership implementations and the impending launch of Xero HQ.

The ChadSan team were also thrilled to have our very own Matthew Gambold speak at the Productivity Stream panel, discussing the topic ‘How to Turn Productivity into Profit’. On the panel Matthew had a chance to briefly mention our new partnership with Crunchboards, which will give our clients a great visual platform for forecasting and reporting…more information on this to come soon!
