ChadSan in the Spotlight – Charlie Taylor

Why did you become an accountant?

I became an accountant because, since high school, I knew it was the career I wanted to pursue. I was two months into my A-levels when I attended an open evening at a college and heard about AAT. A lady there offered me a job interview for the next morning, which I attended — and that’s how I started my first role as an apprentice at an accountancy practice.

What’s the most memorable piece of advice you’ve ever received in your career?

“The best way of learning about anything is by doing”

If your team were to describe you in three words, what do you think they would say?

After some office polling (and possibly a few bribes), the top three were generous, family man, and thoughtful.

What do you enjoy most about your role at ChadSan?

I really enjoy having the time to speak with clients and feel like I’m making a difference. The flexibility is also a huge plus, especially with two young children!

What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?

Most weekends are taken up by football and visiting the motocross track where I’m teaching my oldest son to ride.
