ChadSan in the Spotlight – Janos Varga

What was it that got you into accounting?

I have many years of experience in fraud analytics and doing something slightly different that puts me in front of new challenges was exciting for me. This way I could use my skills and add new ones, by doing something that is future proof and makes me practise critical and analytical thinking.

What would you have been if not an accountant?

I probably would have stayed in the IT field, learning programming and IT security which is something I was always interested in.

Do you have any hobbies?

I’m a huge fan of technology and intuitive video games. When I have time I stream podcasts on Twitch, talking about games, culture, technology and all sorts with my friends. Also, I like to travel which I had to put on hold due to Covid restrictions, unfortunately.

What’s your favourite part about working at ChadSan?

I think the environment is very inspiring, ChadSan is really on the top when it comes to accounting and using technology to advance; working in this environment helps me focus. Also, the ChadSan team is fantastic, full of mindful professionals and lovely people. When it comes to the job, I love the part when I expend my knowledge and put it in practice. It’s good to be part of this team.

You grew up in Hungary, how does the job scene compare in the UK to in Hungary?

I moved to the UK 10 years ago so I might be wrong on this but back in the day, there were not a lot of tech companies. Nowadays there are more innovative businesses around than ever. The company I used to work for was very new at the time and since then more and more people have started businesses that are internet-based, providing jobs for individuals with a similar mindset.
